Hi,
I want to run the Essentials Firewall on a VMware ESXi 5 Host and was wondering what Configuration Options I should use.
Depending on the Guest Operating System VMware ESXi lets you choose different NICs and so on.
Right now I choose "other 2.6x Linux Operating System (64-bit), used E1000 as NIC and installed the ASG Software as 64-bit Version. This combination runs fine so far.
So my question is if my setup is working why does Astaro use 32-bit ASG and flexible NICs for their VMware Appliance and is there a reason to change to 32-bit and flexible NICs?
Kind regards
Buxus
