Ok...this is a weird one. We have a RED (standard/unified) deployed out of town and it worked for the longest time. All of a sudden a dictation program we use that runs on TCP 2004 stopped working. The connection works for everything else but not this program. Also it just seems to be the function of downloading the voice file does not work. The use can connect to the system and request the the voice files but they will NEVER download.
Here is the weird (or REALLY weird) part. I brought it back to my office where I have a second internet connection, plugged it in and it works fine. Well I thought since the multi-port cable modem that connects the RED and ASG (the RED comes in a different internet connection but I had to turn off IP Spoofing so the ASG would send the packets back) there might be some obscure setting that I missed I brought it home. Again, everything worked fine.
I haven't changed anything on the RED configuration since I fist set it up about a year ago.
I doubt it but a ISP couldn't block a port that was running through the RED tunnel correct?
PC --> RED --> DSL modem (no switch/firewall) --> ASG220 --> Server
