Hello folks,
I have an AP30 and AP50 here for testing AWS in our company (using ASG220).
Problem is: We want the access points to be (directly) in our network without having to create a new (V)LAN or anything. So I connected the first AP to our network, it received an IP (from our DHCP server on our DC) but it doesn't get recognised by the ASG...
Because of the lack of further information/documentation (besides the ASG's manual) I can only guess that the APs will only get recognised by a DHCP request over the Astaro's DHCP-Service (which we dont use for our network - changing that is not an option right now)?
-> Is there any way to get the APs recognised and configured without the Astaro-implemented DHCP service? (If there is - how??)
If it isn't, do I have to configure a separate LAN interface on the ASG to provide DHCP addresses on a different ip-subnet (Wlan AP exclusive)? How would I get the APs and connected WLAN clients to access our (usual) network (i.e. routing)?
Thanks in advance and best regards!
Steve
Edit: I found an additional manual für AWS, but as said in there our ASG is set as default gateway so I don't see, why the AP and ASG aren't "communicating"...?!
