License counter question..

Hi all,

I ran into a funny setup. I know a guy who lives on the country side where only WiMax ( expensive here ) will cover more than a ADSL connection at 128/512kbps - no fiber optics possible.

So he just took delivery of this new line and then him and his neighbour decided that they wanted to failover on eachothers lines, also they wanted to share (sorta) infrastructure and the VPN possibility of the Astaro ( V.8.3 ).

To cut it short..

Site 1 runs 10.150.1.0/24
Site 2 runs 192.168.1.0/24

1 single cable connects the two houses meaning VLAN is the only way to carry more subnets.

The failover part works pretty well and the ADSL line runs in a seperat VLAN to a uplink interface on the Astaro.

To enable VPN access to the neighbour I created another VLAN and another interface on the Astaro and assigned it 192.168.1.254/24
It works great and now they can also share NAS boxes and such, and still going thru their own internet gateway..

The 10.150.1.X network is masqed to WiMax and the 192.168.1.X runs thru its own router on the ADSL, meaning the interface on the Astaro with 192.168.1.254 is NOT a gateway interface, just acting as a way into the lan infrastructure.

However, the license counter is seeing and counting all of the 192.168.1.X clients even though they do not go thru a gateway on the astaro towards the internet.

This drives me nuts.. bug or did I miss something ?

Thanks in advance.
