Hey Folks,
I have just a general overall question regarding the benefit or detriment of having a separate Network Card in the Astaro Security Gateway for Wireless (Either Astaro AP50 or Third Party) versus plugging the Access Point into a Switch.
I'm leaning towards the AP50, and I understand WLAN interfaces are created if you opt to use the Separate Network feature, which seem to be Virtual. I'm also aware that unless a Smart / Managed Switch is used, VLAN's can't passthrough an Unmanaged Switch, so that's one benefit to having a Physical NIC in the Astaro Box.
Any other thoughts? Thanks!
