Hi folks,
I set up a new mailserver behind my utm9 and now have this setup:
mailhoster -> internet -> utm9 -> mailserver
The internal mailserver is a kerio connect mailserver which connects to the mailhoster via pop3 and gets down the mails to lokal mailboxes. I can't point the mx record directly to my utm and use the smtp proxy because of a dial up connection.
Now my internal mailserver gets down the mails because I have a firewall rule that allows pop3 traffic. For security reasons, that the mails get scannt for virus and spam etc I enabled the POP3 Proxy and deleted the firewall rule.
But as soon as I did this, the error log in my internal mailserver say "can't connect to mailhoster domain.tdl and no mail is delivered to the internal mailboxes.
however my utm tells me that it processed mails and the log shows following:
Hope you can help me! I don't know whats wrong.
PS: Under Advanced tab, i don't have pop3 servers specified and deactived prefetching because i thought this would maybe be the error. If I should do that, which one do i have to specifi there, the mailhoster or the internal mailserver?
Thanks in advance, Albeck.
