User Portal and NAT?

Reading the new docs, in section 8.2, there is a note that says that the user portal uses port 443 by default and if you plan to forward port 443 to an internal server, you need to change the TCP port in Management -> User Portal -> Advanced. I didn't remember having changed this, and can get to my https server from outside just fine. I was then confused. The only thing I can think of that explains this is that I *did* change the allowed networks for the User Portal to internal network only. If this is how it works, that note should probably be clarified in this respect.
