I'm running ASG 8.305 on a dual-core Intel box with 2gb of RAM. I had to rebuild the box after a lightning strike destroyed my old NIC, and since I restored it using a recent backup file, I've found that the proxy is not filtering out any forbidden sites.
I can verify the proxy itself is working in that I have the packet filter for port 80 turned off, and if I turn off the proxy no web pages are served to client machines; however, when I turn the proxy server back on, all web traffic is allowed with no blocking of the categories (nudity, extremism, proxies/anonymizers, & gambling). The Dashboard shows Web Filtering to be active with >3k sites filtered today alone, but I have no idea what it thinks it's filtering 'cause the stuff I'm trying to block (pages that I have seen blocked in the past) come through in all their glory.
Here's a snippet from the LiveLog for a playboy dot com page...and I think most would agree that is a site that should show up in the "nudity" filter:
2012:07:29-12:35:34 djwall httpproxy[23636]: id="0001" severity="info" sys="SecureWeb" sub="http" name="http access" action="pass" method="GET" srcip="192.168.10.245" dstip="" user="" statuscode="200" cached="1" profile="REF_DefaultHTTPProfile (Default Proxy)" filteraction="REF_DefaultHTTPCFFAction (Default content filter action)" size="64554" request="0x9c7e438" url="http://pictures.playboy.com/assets/videos/8302f48c-9afd-4530-8572-75d248c82373/standardItem.jpg" exceptions="content,url,ssl,mime,fileextension" error=""
What's wrong with my filters?
