Hi everyone,
in the German board I asked about using wireless devices, but when I read the specs of my hardware, I became curious.
I am building my own hardware using the Intel D525MW board as a foundation. Together with an Intel dual port NIC that I plug into the onboard PCI slot. Until now, I know it works as a good friend uses the same setup.
Now, here comes the interesting part.
I just found out that there is a mini PCIe slot on the board, as it is actually meant for HTPC usage, so I wondered, if I put a wireless card into the slot (as it's meant to be), can I use the appliance as an access point using the wireless security feature? It would be very easy as I could unplug and dump an old router that is going to be replaced by the Astaro.
Thank you in advance
Kind Regards
Zero
