Hello,
i'm nothing a disturbing discrepancy between the value i declare in QoS for an interface and the end result, enough of a discrepancy to be noticeable...
If i uncheck the QoS checkbox and run a speed test i get 6.12Mbps down/ 0.71Mbps up
so i set the QoS values to 6200kbps up and 700kbps up, all checkboxes check(limit, equalizer, optimizer), ensure that i'm the only station using that WAN and it should give me the exact same values once i activate the QoS... well, wrong...
i get 5.6Mbps down and 0.66mbps up, that's a HUGE 512kbps download wasted and a little something on the upload.
Now, my connection is officially rated as 6mbps/512k, if i set it to those values, upload gets capped to ~0.45mbps and download barely passes 5mbps.
The ONLY way to get the true interface value is either to set the downlink BW to something like 7168kbps and upload closer to 1000kbps or just disable QoS
Now according to the help "Note that if the available bandwidth becomes temporarily higher than the configured lowest guaranteed value, the gateway can make a projection taking the new bandwidth into account," errr... my BW IS higher than the configured value, yet it's being hard capped waaay lower than the declared value...
What is going on?
btw, i'm running 8.306
edit1: i disabled download equalizer, the reuslt was instant, full BW provided on the declared value!. If nothing else is using the connection, why is the equalizer killing my bw?
