Hi,
I have just switched my server at my holiday home to use vsphere 5 and deployed the ASG using the virtual appliance. I have then restored my previous configuration to get it all up and running.
I have just noticed this morning that the site to site vpn is down and there is no connectivity.
I connect to the internet via a wireless community mesh network which uses pfsense as the router.
I have previously had issues with the WAN interface on my asg not renewing its ip address from the pfsense box, so switch it to a static ip address which worked fine.
However, after I have restored the configuration to the new appliance, it would appear that the interface has switched back to DHCP. I have confirmed this by performing a restore to a test appliance.
Unfortunately, I didn't check the WAN interface before I left, and don't really want to drive 80 miles to go sort this.
Is there any chance the ASG will force itself to renew the ip address after a configured time, or is the the only way to go back and sort it locally?
I have always seemed to have issues with the ASG's renewing their ip addresses and it always seems very flaky even with the release of the new dhcp client.
