This morning my director asked me " How can I view the web sites that a user has reviewed?"
At this point I can only say " Damned if I know"
When I go into " Logging & Reporting " and view the log files I know how to search for a string in the "Web Filtering" logfile. The problem is that the format that the searched string is returned in is not something you can print and turn in to my boss and have him be able to make heads or tales of. It is just too much data in one very long string of data.
But, when I go to the L & R Web Protection section I do not see any way to search for one specific "anything". I choose the default "Users" report and see a list of my users, click on the user in question and the system goes off into la-la land. I get the "Do you want to wait" message and it just never pulls up anything.
How do I go about getting any data out of this system in a format I can turn in to my bosses? We have had the local police department come ask us for reports and all I can figure out how to do is dump all that text on them and hope that they can figure out what they need.
