I technically have a dynamic IP address but it stays static for months.
Last night the service went down and when it came back up with a new IP address I decided to change my Site-to-site IPsec VPNs to new hostname VPN IDs so they wouldn't need to be reconfigured when it happens again.
In the remote gateway, I changed the VPN ID to "Hostname" and entered the fqdn we're using.
When I look at the main Site-to-site status page, it still says VPN ID: X.X.X.X and the WAN IP address is shown.
So I deleted the VPN tunnel and recreate it. Same thing.
Trying to use email address doesn't have any effect either.
What do I need to do to make the ASG understand I want it to use the hostname as the VPN ID?
ASG 8.202
