I am setting up ASG home for my office at home and I am connected to the internet with a Arris TM722g csble modem on comcast.
I have set up the ASG directly connected to the modem and the management interface connected to a switch and a laptop connected to the switch.
The install went fine and all indications that it should be functional. The wan is up and all interfaces have ip's. Lines are up Nat is green. Fitering is setup and the rules are set to allow HTTP traffic. I can ping the internet fine but when I open a browser it is giving a DNS error. The firewall is showing DNS installed and recieving server addresses.:(
I was told by another user he had to set his DSL modem to bridge and that solved his problem.:)
I have a ARRIS cable modem and I have not been able to find any docs on how to do this for this modem.:(
Does anyone have a way to get into this modem or have a solution around it.
Thanks for any help that you can give me.
