At About the time of Pattern 24448 release All Pop3 emails where striped of their content and replaced with a "Full Stop".
The only thing that I can see in the logs that stated about the same time is "Cleanup: dropped_orphans=" that are happening fairly regularly.
The only change that has been made to the email system has been to put in an Anti-spam expression.
