Hi,
I have seen this happening over a period of time and not taken much notice of it until I noticed a strange outgoing e-mail address in my sent mail report. I had not sent an e-mail to this address. The address was part of a list of about 6 people the original sender had on the "to" list.
The address is a valid address and I occasionally send messages to it, but this time it was strange because it was part of an incoming e-mail.
I have looked through the logs of the MAC and the UTM and cannot find an outgoing message to this address.
I also have a hotmail reply in the report, but I can't find a sent message in either the UTM or the MAC.
When I look in the POP3 logs, I see the address on the incoming mail message is formatted differently to other messages.
to="%22***x, yyyy%22 <yyyy.***x@bigpond.com>" other addresses don't have the %22 in them.
The domain is one I also use and is in the UTM.
Ian
There is something wrong with the e-mail recipient report. I have the same e-mail address with different names/punctuation in what I would call a description.
