Today I noticed that for the last 4 weeks Windows Updates on all our machines (server+clients) failed. We use webfiltering (http+https) and deployed astaro CA-Certificates to all our machines via GOP (truster root certs), so no https cert errors occur. No big changes on Astaro config. Btw: also does not work with a clean test installation of ASG9.00.
When trying to check for windows update on the machines we get error: "Code 80244004 Windows Update encountered an unknown error".
Webfiltering logs show no errors when triggering an update serach.
It works however, when setting an exception in webfiltering to skip "https scanning" for domains winowsupdate.com and microsoft.com. Antivirus scanning and extension blocking is disabled by the default exception rules of ASG on this domains.
Googling for the above mentioned error leads to some anti-virus software causing this problems. Or maybe it is related to a change in windows update (see: Microsoft Security Advisory (2718704): Unauthorized Digital Certificates Could Allow Spoofing).
Anyone else having this problems?! Manybe any suggestions??
