Hello all -
I was wondering if anyone had tried to use the DynDNS configuration to manage multiple domain names yet?
I was trying to update the root '@' entry for 3 domains from the same UTM9 box, using Namecheap.
Scenario - I've already set up @.123.com (changed domain name to protect the innocent) and it is working beautifully. I have 2 aliases in 123.com - mail and cityname which update the A records in Namecheap. All working well.
Now I have a 2nd domain name that I want to update: abc.com - I need to set the @ record, then ailases for mail record and cityname as A Names for this domain. Problem comes when I do so I get the error : "The DynDNS mapping object with the name '@' already exists."
So, how do I setup the root entry for multiple domains? The hostname will always be @. I could use cityname or mail for other domains and put the @ or cityname in the aliases I assume, but it seems to defeat the purpose.
Thanks,
Andy
