Hello,
I am attempting to build a failover/load balancing router using a MINI pc and USB NICs.
Here is what I have for hardware.
Zotac Dual Core Atom Mini PC 4GB RAM, builtin Gb NIC.
2 Dlink DUB-100 USB 100Mb NICs
2 Startech USB21000S2 Gb NICs
Rogers Cable ISP Aprox 100Mb downoad speed
Bell Canada DSL ISP Aprox 8Mb Download speed
Download and install went fine.
Initially the installer complained about there only being one NIC but I ignored it. Once running Both the Startech and Dlink USB NICs are recognized.
I attempted to do a basic setup with the wizard for both ISPs (Independently at first to check that they work).
At the moment I can only get sporadic traffic through the router. Most web pages fail.
If I enable SSH access I can get to the router with a shell. It reports errors on the USB NICs. I am not sure if these ones were expected to work, but since they are recognized it would seem reasonable that they may work.
Any input would be appreciated.
