Java v6 Proxy Authentication (Popup)

Hello there,

i'm running into an old problem: Proxy-Auth with JAVA.
I'm using an applet which loads the gui, then presenting the user a proxy-logon-window. I'm currently using v9.3x with an ad-sso profile, which is working fine with the default apps (IE, Windows ...).

The JAVA setting is to use the windows/ie settings.
In my webproxy-logfile i see the following when i authenticate with an ad-user:
-------------------
2013:01:07-16:44:16 utm-1 httpproxy[32533]: id="0002" severity="info" sys="SecureWeb" sub="http" name="web request blocked" action="block" method="GET" srcip="192.168.x.x" dstip="" user="⹒䅗乒䍅䕋" statuscode="407" cached="0" profile="REF_HttProDomaenenbe (Domaenenbenutzer)" filteraction=" ()" size="2526" request="0x8f3b0600" url="http://***.***.***/***x/***.jsp" exceptions="" error=""

So it seems that the JAVA (or the applet itself? Wrong codepage-support or whatever?) is using a chinese charset to auth against the utm.
Anyone with the same behaviour ?
